BEFORE ORDERING:
Before you place your order, please check with
the Rabbi or Officiant who is performing your ceremony to make sure he
approves of the text you are going to use. Each Rabbi has
different parameters. If you wait till after your ketubah is finished to
check with your Rabbi, you might have to change your text and there will
be a $7.00 charge for redoing your ketubah text.
ORDERING: If there is no "buy now" button for the ketubah
you want, you can email me with the name, size, and price of the
ketubah and I will send you an invoice. Make sure you submit
the complete name of Ketubah along with the size and your shipping
information. Payment must be made and
you must fill out the Personalization
form before work starts on your ketubah. Note:
I can only personalize the English portion of the Ketubah.
Your rabbi or
cantor can personalize the Hebrew/Aramaic.
PAYMENT: Payment can be made by Paypal on the internet.
You can use Paypal to pay with a credit card even if you do not have a
Paypal account. You can also send a money order. I do not start work on
the ketubah until I receive the payment.
TIMING: Allow
4 days
for your Ketubah to be prepared and another 3 (business) days (IN TRANSIT) for delivery. If you
need a ketubah rushed, please check with me to see if this can be
done before ordering.
PRICES: All prices are given
according to size of Ketubah. The prices do not include shipping.
PAPER: I use
high quality acid free art paper for my ketubahs.
PRINTING: I print each ketubah to order at a high resolution. I
am a graphic artist and I know how to get the absolute best out of
colors and text.
COLORS: On this website, use high quality pictures of the actual artwork. Colors
can vary depending on the settings of your computer monitor. They may
appear slightly different than on the actual ketubah, but I have
never had a complaint about the colors or designs. Usually,
customers are pleasantly surprised because the ketubah looks better
in person than on the website--or even the copy I email for
proofreading.
SHIPPING: The shipping cost on each Ketubah is between 6.95 and 9.00
in the Mainland USA. International locations are
considerably more.
The extra shipping will be
invoiced separately. The Ketubahs are carefully packed in flat rigid document
mailers and put in a plastic sealer to waterproof it.
PERSONALIZATION: Personalization is free with each ketubah, but
I can only personalize the English portion of the Ketubah.
Your rabbi or
cantor can personalize the Hebrew/Aramaic.
However, I can add
small portions of modern Hebrew to your ketubah (if it will fit) and I
can personalize that for you. Personalization
of each these Ketubahs is included. It is your responsibility
to provide us with the names, date, city and state of wedding and
correct contact information such as email address and phone number. An image of your Ketubah will be emailed
to you for you to proofread and approve before shipment.
PROOFREADING: I will email you a copy of your ketubah to
proofread. It is your responsibility to check it for all errors
(including typos, misspelled words, and incorrect information). I
will make any corrections that are necessary and send you back an updated
copy. Once you approve the ketubah, I will ship it and, any errors, will
not be my responsibility.
APPROVAL: You will need to approve the ketubah before I ship it.
Please do not approve your ketubah until you have thoroughly checked it
for errors in content, spacing, and spelling. Once you approve the
ketubah, I will ship it and, any errors, will not be my responsibility.
CUSTOMIZED TEXT: If you want to
use customized text (your own) it is an extra 7.00. You will need to
provide the text typed exactly the way you want it, and email it to us.
Once I fit the text into the ketubah, you can change a few words or up
to two sentences for free. If you decide to make major changes to the
text, there will be another customization charge of 7.00, so make sure
your custom text is the way you want it before you send it to me.
SWITCHED TEXT: If you want to
switch the text in one design with the text of another of these Ketubahs
(providing it fits) it is free!
I also
have additional text choices you can use.
SWITCHED DESIGN:
If you choose to change ketubah designs after I
have started work on your ketubah, there will be a 5.00 charge to
switch. This gives you ONE change of design. If you wish to switch
again, there will be another charge.
pen to use to sign the ketubaH:
It is best to use an archival pigment ink pen to sign your ketubah.
These can be found in any art or framing stores, or online from the
links below:
-
Zig Milennium Pigment Pen (Size .05,
Color Black)
-
Sakura Pigment Pen (Size 02, Color Black)
If you can't find a pigment pen (or lost it before the ceremony), a good
ol' ball-point pen would work fine as well. Just make sure its not a
cheap one that blotches or smears. It is a good idea to always test your
pen first on the bottom-most edge of the ketubah's paper, in a space
that can be trimmed off when it is framed. Make sure the ink doesn't
bleed or smudge easily. And never use felt-tip pen (such as a Sharpie)
since it will bleed into the paper.
